Mother Nature Fights Back?

So, apparently, this is not the first time it has happened?!
If you don't know, palm oil comes from the seeds of palm trees and is an extremely lucrative business in South-East Asia. BUT, it's responsible for the devastation of rainforests and loss of natural habitats of many animals over there, including orangutans and tigers. The actual oil is used in a lot of things, from cosmetics to cooking and biofuel. It's a controversial topic and there have been calls to boycott anything that lists palm oil as an ingredient.

A tiger has attacked and killed an Indonesian man as he worked on a palm oil plantation, one of the crops blamed for stripping the big cats' habitat, an official says.

The Sumatran tiger severely mauled the 35-year-old man on Tuesday in Bengkalis district of Riau province, local conservation agency head Danis Woro said. "He was working on his palm oil plantation when a tiger suddenly appeared and attacked him," he told AFP on Thursday.
